Next Generation Identification is a new facial recognition program that the FBI is testing to replace the existing system. The previous program called The Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System was put into action in 1999. This system used by the FBI was based upon fingerprinting suspects and was long overdue for a overhaul. The new program will help catch criminals with ease with its 92% success rate. Over the next few years even more mugshots and photos will be added to improve the programs efficiency
